Ahead of the release of their next album, Brit rockers You Me At Six feel the time is right for them to break America.
With the recent success of British acts like The 1975 and Ed Sheeran, the five lads from Surrey think their new album Cavalier Youth will get the similar success.
Drummer Dan Flint said: “It’s definitely a great time. The Americans seem to be into the whole British scene at the moment.Everyone else is doing so well like Ed Sheeran and now we want a piece of the pie.”
Guitarist Max Helyer added: “I think it’s our time now with our new album Cavalier Youth. I think it’s the first time our band actually sounds f***ing good.”
This is the bands third album, but first to be professionally produced by a label.
The boys had a limited amount of success on their last trip to the states selling out their New York date in under two hours, but the band are keeping their ambitions realistic.
Max said: ” I’m not going to say I’d like to do three Madison Square Garden shows obviously because that’s impossible! For me, if we can start our way getting to selling out 2,000 capacity venues would be great.”
You Me At Six release their next album Cavalier Kid on January 27 and begin a short UK tour at the end of March.
