To coincide with their new album release Warpaint have revealed a teaser clip from an upcoming documentary about the band.
The documentary has been filmed over the past two years by Chris Cunningham, during the making of the band’s self-titled second album.
Talking about the documentary he said: “It covers everything around and during the making of the record, but it’s not a ‘making of’. It’s me filming with a camera whenever I have one and them filming on their phones, and then I’ve been taking outtakes and random pieces of drumming and making new remixes of their songs and using that as a soundtrack.”
The American band enlisted Foals producer Flood and Radiohead mastermind Nigel Godrich for the album which follows 2010’s The Fool.
Drummer Stella Mozgawa revealed this week that an elderly neighbour called the police to complain while the band were recording the album.
She said: “That was just something that we were playing for probably 45 minutes and then the cops showed up. They said that there was an elderly woman down the street that was feeling nauseous because of the music and they’d like us to stop.”
