DJ David Guetta admits that he was more than a little nervous on his first day of recording with the Black Eyed Peas when he bumped into a host of other stars.

Guetta produced the band’s number one smash hit “I Gotta Feeling” and described the surreal experience of his first day in the studio with the American hip hop stars.

Speaking to Purple Revolver he said: “First day I’m in the studio with Black Eyed Peas and because we were working on something very different P.Diddy and Busta Rhymes drop in. So I was shaking with nerves!

“And then I go out to the bathroom and I bump in Pharrell Williams! This is my first day in a studio in America so no pressure!”

The French DJ’s work with the Black Eyed Peas is one of a number of collaborations with major urban stars this year including Kelly Rowland and Akon. He admits he has been inundated with requests from people wanting to work with him.

He added: “Everything that I’m living is beyond any of my dreams so I’m not like ‘Okay I need to work with this other person’.

“But a lot of very big artists are calling me at the moment, I really feel blessed having to work with these talented people.”

Guetta plays Creamfields on Saturday, August 29th
