The London based Dub-Step duo Nero have installed a new Live Rig on their official website, which offers an interactive platform for fans to listen to their internationally acclaimed album, Welcome Reality.

The new software which looks like some analogous piece of tech from Vader’s death star is a gamers dream, coming with an old school pixelated video game to play as you wile out to the high energy noise that Nero is famous for.

The “Nero Arcade Game” harks back to a bygone era, of Super Mario on the Snez, and sore thumbs from mashing Streets of Rage on the Sega Mega Drive.

The online team have managed to re-create Nero’s live rig, allowing listeners to enjoy Welcome Reality through the playful sub whoopers and watch all of their videos from within the platform.

Each miniature television screen has a video behind it, and you can listen to album tracks Guilt, Reaching Out, Departure, and the dance floor smash, Innocence, plus many more.

Click on the centre of the rig, and that’s where the fun begins…

A dialogue box opens, and you have to go through a lot of rigmarole to get to the opening bars. A stream of text appears, talking of a dark and grim dystopian future, and sets you up for the action.

“The year is 2808…

The world is a dangerous place, crime and corruption is widespread. To get away from the grim reality of society, many people are living within alternate realities. The most popular of these is named ‘Second Reality’.

However trouble has even spread there. To combat this a special elite force is put together.

Their codename is Nero…”

Have an explore around the site, clicking all of the icons to a new aspect of Nero’s media empire, and you can also enter a competition to win 2 tickets to the Brixton Academy show on the 24th March. Get involved.
