Thomas Tantrum, Sleep review

A Lulu veined lofty vocal intro leads intro the bounding, soulful pop bounce of Sleep. That’s plucked from the uplifting, pop spurted self-titled debut album of Hampshire based quartet, Thomas Tantrum.

Singer Megan Thomas flings her vocals around with abandon, adding a carefree element to the complement the sprightly chiming instrumentals.

The lyrics weave together a paradoxical tale covering community rivalry and mixed up feelings to give some depth to the sprightly approach.

Jangle pop with a lyrical depth could be just what is needed to aid the party spirit at festivals the country over this year.
