Rival Schools are back with a much awaited second album (if you ignore the leaked material following United by Fate), Pedals.

Anyone who missed them the first time around had a chance to play catch up and an impromtu (albeit highly competent) cover of Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead Or Alive injected a bit of fun, lighters in the air and all.

…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead on the other hand, had the demeanor of being on a bit of a mission.

New album Tao of the Dead follows on from the highly acclaimed The Century of Self, and is perhaps an even more focused effort. To that effect, they show up, barely acknowledge the crowd, and without word, begin to play.

The remaining dates are:

18th Birmingham O2 Academy
19th London Islington Academy
