Ladies Single Review: A Neck Brace Should Be Worn

We have been waiting very patiently since their last single launch but Ladies have yet again come through with their new track Sometimes You’ve Just Got To Lose.

The track begins with melancholy undertones then it progressively evolves into a serious head bop, a neck brace should be worn when listening to the combination of Chas Moody’s sweet vocals and throat cutting riffs.

The tag line ‘Sometimes You’ve Just Got To Lose’ presents a notion of surrendering your woes with an alcoholic beverage in the air or what some may call an after gaff for the Labour Party. Equally, Ladies have the ability to place you in a kaleidoscope vision of colourful sounds, twisting your mind with their fresh new take on a nostalgic noise.

Relatable and relentless in both lyrics and melody. With lyrics such as, “That’s a flavour and taste that I can’t get back” the track is adorned with simple phrases being executed in a subtle yet powerful fashion. There is no doubt that this single really stands out amongst their others.

If University isn’t going as well as you hoped or you’ve recently been divorced or you didn’t get into the Jacaranda because you don’t have a Jac card; whatever the minor inconvenience then we would recommend listening to Sometimes You’ve Just Got To Lose with a beverage of your choice to fade away the blues.

One of our favourite Liverpool based bands; Chas, Mitia and Sam are well and truly validating their musical presence with their consistent delivery of tracks which are becoming local anthems. They sound even better live and have excellent haircuts so do not miss out on their next gig.
