In an interview with Zach Oat by ToyHypeUSA.com at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), it was confirmed that the latest Ghostbusters 2 Select Series from Diamond Select Toys will contain 9 official figures from the live action film, Ghostbusters 2, with the remaining 2 series dedicated solely to six action figures from the Real Ghostbusters animated TV series.
According to Zach, the reason for the switch to the animated characters was due to the licensing for the characters proving to be unattainable.
The film series will consist of various costumes that each of the main character wear throughout the movie, including the darker brown versions of the Ghostbusters uniform that feature prominently towards the second half of the movie as well as characters who have yet to appear in the toy line.

These are surely a must have for any avid Ghostbusters fans and collectors. The Real Ghostbusters series ran for seven series from 1986 to 1991 and featured the voice talent of Frank Welker, Maurice LaMarche, Arsenio Hall and Lorenzo Music.
