For the first time since Wizards of Waverly Place ended, Selena Gomez is making her way to our TV screens.
Gomez recently served as an executive producer for the controversial netflix series 13 Reasons Why, and has appeared in films such as Spring Breakers and Bad Neighbours 2.
This will be her first foray back to television since the Disney show ended in 2012.
The singer, actress, and producer, will be taking on a role in Steve Martin and Martin Short’s new Hulu sitcom Only Murderers in the Building.
The series is set to follow three strangers, played by Martin, Short, and Gomez, who are all big fans of true crime.
The drama will ramp up once they find themselves involved in a real life mystery, which they must solve.
Speaking to Deadline after announcing the series in June, Short said: “I’m so proud to say that this show is already one of the highlights of my career.”
Martin on the other hand joked: “I’m proud to say it’s a blip on the radar of mine.”
Gomez will also stand as an executive producer on the show, alongside Martin, and the shows co-creator John Hoffman.
The pop star has also recently spoken out on being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
While talking to Miley Cyrus as part of Cyrus’ Bright Minded: Live on Instagram, Gomez said: “Recently, I went to one of the best mental hospitals… McLean Hospital and I discussed that, after years of going through a lot of different things, I realised that I was bipolar and so, when I go to know more information, it actually helps me. It doesn’t scare me once I know it and I think people get scared of that.”
Only Murderers in the Building doesn’t yet have a release date, but is expected to come out later this year.
