Russell Brand has admitted he fancies picking up the keys to the TARDIS following Matt Smith’s departure as the Doctor.
The Get Him to the Greek star thinks he should be next in line, claiming he could conquer the Cybermen and admits his likeliness to the fourth Doctor, Tom Baker.
Messiah Complex, Russell’s tour, kicks off next week and will see him perform in North America and the Middle East before finishing with 15 UK shows.
Russell, 38, said: “I’d love to be the Doctor. I’d be like a Tom Baker one, a long scarf, flouncy, wistful, quoting occasional poems, kicking Cybermen in the nuts.
“I am going to tour the world (our one, Earth) with Messiah Complex, causing bother and excitement and offering opinions that have not been either solicited or thought through.”
