The 31/1/20 edition of Friday Night SmackDown was a great episode.

Here are some highs and lows from the episode.

Roman Reigns and The Usos kicked off the show, Reigns talks about beating Corbin all over Minute Maid Park, he says that he didn’t end up winning the Royal Rumble as promised, but that they will bounce back by defeating the King and his bitches. Corbin and his kingdom arrive. Corbin says that Roman couldn’t have won without The Usos’ help. Reigns talks shit a bit more and then challenges Corbin, Roode and Ziggler to face himself and The Usos in the main event, in a Loser Eats Dog Food match. The Usos then bring out people pushing a table full of cans, and 2 big bowls of disgusting looking dog food. – This was a humourous segment, it’d be better if Reigns was finally done with Corbin, but they do work well together, so one more tussle wouldn’t hurt…. A high.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Match: The Miz & John Morrison vs. The Revival vs. The Lucha House Party vs. Heavy Machinery: This was an exciting match, the finish saw John Morrison hitting an always nice looking Starship Pain on Dash for the pinfall victory. – Solid, fun match, the right team won, it’ll be good to see how The New Day retaliate in Saudi Arabia on 2th Feb. This is a high.

Mandy and Sonya meet up with Heavy Machinery backstage, Mandy thanks Otis for saving her during the Royal Rumble match, Otis manages to get the courage to ask Mandy out on a date for next week. Mandy apologises and says that she has plans… Otis looks disappointed, Mandy restores goodness by saying that she is free the following week (Valentine’s Daaaaaayyyy) Beautiful dreeeeeeaaammmeerrrr…. – Very fun little segment here, everyone loves this little saga, nice that it continues. It gets a high rating.

Later in the show, Bayley enters the ring, calls herself a role model, for beating Lacey Evans, crushing dreams, avenging Lacey’s attack on Sasha and doing it all in front of Lacey’s daughter, proving Lacey to be a failure of a mother. Bayley talks about how Charlotte will clearly choose her as her WrestleMania opponent because she is a true champion that has beaten them all. Naomi returns, Naomi mentions how Bayley has never beaten her. Bayley attacks Naomi and stands tall – Great segment, kicks off a fresh feud and adds something new to the blue brand.

Roman Reigns and The Usos vs King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in a Loser Eats Dog Food match: This was an entertaining match, the finish saw suicide dives and Reigns cradle Corbin for the pinfall. Reigns and the Usos tie Corbin to the ringpost and disgustingly douse him in dog food, posing for a great little pic that certainly ended up on the front page of WWE.com.

There was a low though, maybe some will disagree…

Braun Strowman vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship: Strowman finally wins singles gold. This is something that probably should have been saved for a PPV. Just a little disappointed that it wasn’t saved for a bigger moment.

Highs – 5

Lows – 1
