Good news for 24 fans, Jack Bauer actor Kiefer Sutherland has said if there is enough interest in the shows returning mini series, then a movie is definitely on the table.

Sutherland said: “Our job right now is one thing: Make these the best 12 episodes of 24, period. If we can do that, an audience will dictate what they want, and I guarantee you, if the audience is there and they’re asking for something, they’ll give it to them.”

Jack Bauer is due to make a triumphant return to our screens in 24: Live Another Day, but the Canadian actor knows that returning to the show meant producer Howard Gordon had to make it the very best season of 24.

Sutherland admitted: “You know, we haven’t shot anything yet, and I’m f**king scared! But I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think we had a shot at making the best season of 24, and that’s what we’re going to set out to do, and hopefully we’ll do it.”

According to sources the series will follow Jack after being estranged from his family for four years.

Sutherland said: “He’s not even trying to wiggle room around the law. He doesn’t give a s**t anymore. The law is nothing to him. He’s been a fugitive and wanted, hunted by the CIA for years.”

It seems show creators are looking to take 24 to a whole new level.

24: Live Another Day is set to premier May 5 on Sky 1.
