The MTV Movie Awards treated us to a sneak peak of the opening fight scene from upcoming movie X-Men Days of Future Past.
Last night at the annual movie awards, Juno star Ellen Page took to the stage to reveal the fight scene to the audience and to the viewers at home.
The fight scene shows Sentinel robots coming down from an aircraft in order to seek and destroy the mutants hiding below.
Bryan Singer, who looks like he could be the long lost son of Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, will be returning as director for this movie after directing X-Men back in 2000 where he picked up an award for Best Director.
The film looks to focus around the story of younger Magneto and Charles Xavier coming face to face with the older versions of themselves played by Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart, who will be returning faces from the other films in the series.
Ellen Page stars in the film as Shadowcat Kitty Pryde who has the power of intangibility, the ability to move through solid matter, which she uses within the scene to help her fellow mutants escape the robots.
The scene itself is surly hyping all of the X-Men fans in the lead up to the films release in May and this was surely helped by a sequence within the scene that shows Iceman, played by Shawn Ashmore, making his way down an ice slide to fight Sentinel.
An image that was taken straight from the pages of the original X-Men comic books.
Other famous faces you should look forward to seeing in the film include Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, Hugh Jackman, and Michael Fassbender.
The film is set to be released on 22nd May this year, but until then, you can watch the fight scene here.
