A new documentary entitled ‘The Rise and Fall of The Clash’ seeks to chronicle the undiscovered history of notorious punk band The Clash and features unseen footage and new insights.

With a release date still to be set, the film will focus on their final days and will showcase a series of archival interviews, seeking to uncover the truth.

Directed by Danny Garcia, the film first previewed at the CBGB Festival in New York and although it has been three years in the making, the documentary still remains sightly incomplete.

Original Clash guitarist, Mick Jones is interviewed in the film, along with Vince White, Nick Sheppard and Pete Howard who all offer their unique perspective on what happened in 1985.

Speaking of what inspired the documentary, Garcia said: ‘It’s really fucked up to find out the real story behind the band and I thought, if I didn’t know this, other people don’t know this.’
