The Amazing Spider-Man is a reboot of the recent Sam Raimi series of Spidey films, but as many fans of those films would suggest, we didn’t need reworking, so this film explores the “untold story” of Spider-Man.
This new trailer gives a glimpse of plenty of unseen footage that finds the titular hero (played by Andrew Garfield from The Social Network) struggling with the magnitude of his inner conflict.
The film also stars Emma Stone (playing Peter Parker’s early girlfriend Gwen Stacy), along with Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary and Rhys Ifans as Spider-Man’s nemesis, The Lizard. The Amazing Spider-Man is set for a July 3 release.
