Following the addition of video facilities to their app last month, upcoming Steve Jobs bipoic, Jobs, has become the first ever film trailer to be released via Instagram.
The film has been of the radar for a while following its premiere at Sundance in January, but it has surfaced once again as its August release date nears.
Fitting into the 15 second time limit on Instagram videos, the teaser is a fairly fast-paced version of the full-length trailer.
With Ashton Kutcher starring as Steve Jobs, the film follows the life of Apple co-founder from 1971 to 2000, marking his dropping out of college and founding Apple, up to the release of the iPod.
The release coincides with the first trailer released on Vine, Instagram’s … competitor, Vine, which is advertising the new X-Men film The Wolverine in a six second trailer.
The release of the Jobs trailer on Instagram presents a fitting tribute for the life story of a pioneer of new technologies.
Jobs is set for release in cinemas on 16th August, watch the trailer below.
