The first five minutes of How To Train Your Dragon 2 have been released in the lead up to the films release in a few months, reintroducing us to our favourite viking and dragon duo.

With How to Train Your Dragon quickly becoming the highest earner for Dream Works, the team have high hopes for the sequel.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is to be the second film in the trilogy and is set five years after the first film ended and the war between the vikings and the dragons is ended.

The clip shows how the vikings have become at peace with the dragons and have invented the sport dragon racing in which the vikings ride the dragons and collect sheep.

We hear familiar voices from Jay Baruchel playing Hiccup and Jonah Hill who plays snoutlout in the clip and we can look forward to hearing the likes of Gerard Butler and Christopher Mintz-Plasse in the second movie.

The second film follows the story of Hiccup and Toothless who have become inseparable and who are now exploring new worlds.

‘When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. Now, Hiccup and Toothless must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together do they have the power to change the future of both men and dragons.’

Hiccup, with the help of Toothless have to fight a terrifying dragon which poses a threat to not only men but dragons too.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is set to premier on June 13th but you can watch the first five minutes of the movie here.
