Denzel Washington’s daughter lands a job with Quentin Tarantino on Django Unchained

Denzel Washington’s daughter plans to follow in her famous father’s footsteps by building a successful career in the movie business.

Katia, 25, began her working life in Hollywood with a behind the scenes job with Quentin Tarantino as a production assistant on the set of his latest epic Django Unchained.

Taling about his daughter Denzel said: “My eldest has been working with Quentin Tarantino as a production assistant in the editing room.”

Washington briefly worked with Tarantino in the 1990’s when the director did some uncredited writing work on the script for 1995 thriller ‘Crimson Tide’ – but their working relationship turned sour over what Washington believed to be the inclusion of racist dialogue.

He later revealed: “I buried the hatchet with that a long time ago.

“I sought him out ten years ago. I told him ‘Look, I apologize.’ You’ve just gotta let that go. You gonna walk around with that the rest of your life? He seemed relieved.

“Here we are ten years later, and my daughter is working with Quentin. Life is something.”
