It’s been 29 years since we saw our favourite US governor seek revenge againgst the evil warlord who massacred his tribe, but this August Jason Momoa will pick up the sword where Arnie left off.
The Game of Thrones star has been cast in the title role of Conan but was quick to assure fans that the new film will not be a carbon copy of Arnold’s original;
‘I got to see a rough cut, and people are going to be stoked. We’re not remaking anything Arnold did. It’s a totally new story. The same legendary character.’
Conan is directed by Marcus Nispel, and also stars Ron Perlman, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan and Rachel Nichols.
