Hangover and Limitless actor Bradley Cooper has withdrawn form the lead role in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s The Crow remake, due to scheduling difficulties.
Cooper was due to revive the role of Eric Draven, made famous in 1994 by Brandon Lee. Tradgedy struck the original when Lee was fatally shot by a rubber bullet while filming on set.
Relative Media and Fresnadillo will now hunt out a new leading man, with Mark Whalberg and Channing Tatum thought to be top of the list.
Cooper can now concentrate on the film adaptation of John Milton’s Paradise Lost, where he has been cast as Lucifer.
The Alex Proyas project (who conincidentally directed the original Crow movie) is scheduled for release in 2012 and also stars Benjamin Walker as Archangel Michael
