Andrew Garfield hasn’t even had time to throw the spandex into the washing machine yet, but Sony have already pencilled in the release date for the second film in the rebooted franchise.
The Social Network star takes on the mantle of Peter Parker in Marc Webb’s Amazing Spiderman.
Also starring Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and Martins Sheen – the reboot will hit cinemas in July 2012.
But not to be accused of not planning ahead, Sony have set aside May 2, 2014 for Spiderman to get up and swinging again.
Screenwriter James Vanderbilt has already been tasked with getting pen to paper and knocking out a script, after working on the Amazing Spiderman.
