A second trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues has been released online teasing new antics from our favourite rag-tag team of news broadcasters.
This new trailer focuses more on the film’s plot than the initial teaser and hints at a comeback for Burgundy following his split from Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate).
Opening with a montage of news reel bloopers, the trailer reveals that Burgundy has taken it upon himself to reinvent the news broadcast, in an unconventional way.
In the space of the two minute trailer Ron and his team sample crack, learn what cruise control means and that women can hold positions of authority. All in the name of news.
It is clear that in the following 10 years since Anchorman’s first released, Ron and his team haven’t gained any more sense.
Featuring the faces we’ve come to know like Paul Rudd and Steve Carell as well as some famous cameos from Kanye West, Sacha Baron Cohen and Harrison Ford, who can be seen in the new trailer, it is clear that there’s a lot of hype surrounding this film.
This sequel promises to live up to it’s lofty expectations and will be worthy of the Anchorman name. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) grossed $90.5 million, so all eyes will be on the box office for open weekend this Christmas.
The first trailer was released in June and the second broke earlier today. We might just have time for one more trailer to hit before the movie is released at the end of this year.
