So what are the best casino movies?

Here is a fine list of 5 uniquely thrilling masterpieces that should be in your must-see list regardless of whether you enjoy a bit of a gamble here and there in real life!

1. Casino. This blast from the past featuring Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone has already become an all time classic. A film directed by the maestro himself – Martin Scorsese tells us a story about two mobsters from Vegas who strive to build a name for themselves in the gambling industry. An IMDb rating of 8.2 and a loyal fan base of thousands of people have secured the number one spot in our list for Casino.

2. Rounders. The film first debuted in 1998 with Matt Damon and Edward Norton still young and skyrocketed both of their careers. This newcomer to the blockbuster genre tells about two friends who cannot imagine their lives without poker. The gears really start spinning when there’s a colossal gambling debt in the picture.

3. The Sting. They could really make awesome movies back in 1973. Paul Newman’s performance alone is great enough to invest a couple of hours into this classic. That does not mean, however, that the plot is not as good. Every element of this masterpiece is tailored to perfection.

4. Maverick. You can say whatever you want about Mel Gibson but his dynamic duo with Jodie Foster, fused with the atmosphere of Wild West has created a masterpiece. Plot twists are great, the humor is on point and the movie did not age at all. Definitely a must see film here!

5. This is the oldest film on our list yet it aged remarkably well and is still compelling to the audience. Directed by Norman Jewison in 1965 with stars like Steve McQueen and Edward G. Robinson, this story about a young and promising poker player wins our hearts and souls.
