Star Wars star Carrie Fisher has revealed she still wears her iconic gold bikini, for good luck and is looking forward to reprising her role as Princes Leia.
Carrie admitted she still like to sport her gold bikini saying: “I wear it on special occasions.
“I’ve got it on underneath this. I wear it always, for luck.” she smiled.
This revelation may come as a pleasant surprise to many Star Wars fans who grew up with images of her bikini clad body covering their bedroom walls.
Her love for the “metal bikini” links in with her favourite Star Wars moment, in which she chokes Jabba to death using her matching gold slave collar.
She aadded: “I had a lot of fun killing Jabba the Hutt. They asked me on the day if I wanted to have a stunt double kill Jabba. No! That’s the best time I ever had as an actor”.
Carrie, who now has a recurring role in Family Guy, refused to go into detail about the plot of the new film, but did comment on her famous Princess Leia hairstyle.
She said: “That hairdo can never really be repeated without gales of laughter. I’ve begged them to put the hair back on in grey and just catch me cooking with the hair, like Granny Leia.”
The Wishful Drinking author, who has lost 40lbs since being cast in the new film, wants to “get Princess Leia right this time”, which, to her, means ditching her British accent which she says made her look “a little pretentious faking the accent.”
Fans eagerly await her new style of performance in Star Wars: VII, which is due out in December 2015.
