It was in 1987 that Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and their collaborators got together in reunion to film Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn, the sequel and part remake of The Evil Dead.
While this autumn sees their battle against the Deadites continue on the Starz original series, Ash vs. Evil Dead, SyFy and Alamo Drafthouse are teaming up to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Evil Dead II with a special screening in the US.
On Thursday the 14th of September, the Music Ranch in Austin, Texas will be the the place to be for the Evil Dead II 30th anniversary event. Movie lovers will pretty much be able to watch the perfect spooky old woods movie, surrounded by an actual spooky old woods. Fans will not be alone in the dark though, as Bruce Campbell himself will be there watching the movie with the great crowd, while promoting his new book, Hail to the Chin. As a boss bonus, all that purchase a ticket will receive a free copy of Hail to the Chin and have a chance to get it signed. That is definitely “Groovy!”
