Quentin Tarantino has revealed he had a massive bust up with a New York cabbie, which saw the yellow cab driver bite him on the nipple.
The Pulp Fiction director has revealed that when his fights are reported by the press it can cost him over £18000.
The writer-director, who admitted to having had two fights this year alone, said: “That’s the price of doing business when you’re famous and you punch somebody.”
Remembering one terrifying incident in New York, the mastermind behind Kill Bill found himself fighting in public with a New York taxi driver who bit him on the nipple.
Quentin said: “I was in the back of this cab and this taxi driver, who was a big guy – he was a real jerk. So I said: ‘Pull over to the side of the road and let me get out.’
“He was such a jerk, I didn’t even want to give him a 50 cent tip.
“He gave me my change, but then her refers to my date and says: ‘Use it to buy her a new face.’
“So I sprint round the back of the cab because I’m going to attack him.
“I start punching him in the face, now this is all happening in front of a club. So the bouncers grab me and pull me off of him.
“The guy sees that I’m being held and he attacks me and tries to bite me on my nipple. He didn’t hit me, he sunk his teeth into my chest.”
The director managed to keep the scuffle hidden from the press until recently, when he chose to admit it on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, his first appearance since 1992.
“I go, ‘Maybe he doesn’t know who I am. I can’t tell anybody about this. I can’t tell my best friend about this.’ So for a year I didn’t tell anybody about it to see if anybody would know about it and it went away.”
