Reports have been circulating that Philip Seymour Hoffman who died of a heroin overdose had nine days of shooting yet to complete on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
But a Lionsgate executive has elaborated about the film’s shooting schedule and revealed that Hoffman only had ‘one major, emotional scene’ left to finish before his tragic death.
The Lionsgate insider said: “We’re going to have a couple of work-around issues but the movie will be creatively whole.
“Philip’s performances in both remaining movies will be up to the best of his craft. We feel it will be a good tribute to him.
“There will be no continuity problems. You can do digital things, you can have conversations where you’re not focusing on him but the people he’s talking to.”
Mockingjay – Part 1 will open in the UK on November 21, with the second instalment following on November, 20, 2015.
