The actress’ character in the series, Katniss Everdeen, has been named the highest-grossing action movie heroine of 2015.
Lawrence achieved the feat due to the success of the first two Hunger Games films, which have grossed £928 million between them internationally.
Second instalment Catching Fire achieved a Guinness Record of its own, claiming the gong for ‘highest-grossing post-apocalypse movie’ with box office takings of £520 million worldwide.
Meanwhile, HBO show Game of Thrones made the 2015 edition of the book after becoming the most-pirated TV programme for the year, with around 5.9 million illegal downloads per episode.
