Iconic moments from cult films have been brought to life using the modern technological wizadry of Google Maps.
They appear on website Google Street Scene which features dozens of postings showing cinematic thrills and spills using Street View camera’s which have mapped the world.
In San Francisco, cop ‘Dirty’ Harry Callahan has been captured on 7 Pine Street brandishing his beloved and lethal Magnum .44.
The Google Street View mock-ups have also caught super villain The Joker on camera blowing up a hospital on Emergency Drive in Gotham City.
Those images are from gripping scenes in the 1971 thriller Dirty Harry, starring Clint Eastwood, and The Dark Knight, starring the late Heath Ledger as Batman’s nemesis.
Almost any film can be viewed in this way but the creators of the page have uploaded some of the finest and most memorable over the years – complete with locations.
