Dwayne Johnson has revealed that he is attached to star in a movie adaptation of DC Comics property Shazam.
The Hercules actor told The AP that he is yet to learn whether he is playing protagonist Captain Marvel or villain Black Adam in the film.
“I am putting my heart and soul and my bones into this role,” said Johnson, who claims that Black Adam is one of his favourite comic book characters.
Shazam is believed to be a priority for Warner Bros, along with a Wonder Woman solo film and a Flash/Green Lantern team-up project.
All three movies are expected to tie in with 2017’s Justice League, the groundwork for which is being laid by Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in the works for 2016.
Shazam tells the story of a young boy who has the ability to transform into an all-powerful superhero with the abilities of six mythological beings.
