The way Canadian actor turned massive Deadpool fan Ryan Reynolds tell it, Fox’s movie Deadpool has been a long time coming, but the wait has been worth it.
He said that they might not have the type of budgets you would expect for a superhero movie, especially with the type of fan base the Merc with a Mouth has, but they will get to make the movie they want which is most important.
Ryan said: “It’s been a long time, but it’s happening the right way, and that’s all that matters.
“The budget isn’t what we all hoped it would be, this is actually the suit,” looking down at his plaid shirt (On the plus side, at least it was in Deadpool’s colours, red and black).
“We don’t have the money that most superhero movies do, but that’s great, actually. You know, necessity’s the mother of invention and that’s why we get to make the movie we want to make.”
Speaking to MTV (you can watch the video below) Reynolds compared the potential for Deadpool to his badly received Warner Bros./DC Green Lantern movie: “You gotta just have faith in the people you’re working with, and faith in the prep, and that’s all I’m doing.
“On this one, the prep’s been 11 years. So, you know, you’d like to think that you’re putting your best foot forward, but we’ll see.”

The actor also commented on the leaked test footage from last year, which set the internet ablaze and pretty much jump started interest in the film before Fox’s announcement of a release date.
He added: “Yeah, I would’ve leaked that footage myself!” he joked, denying that he was behind the release.
“Looking back now? In a heartbeat! I should go home and scan the old hard drive and see what I got in there!”
Deadpool is scheduled for release in February 2016.
