Hollywood funny men Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg have put their joypads down to write a movie about the epic battle between Nintendo and Sega.
The comedy duo have previously teamed up for movies such as Pineapple Express and Superbad and are set to team up again for this biopic depicting the 90’s console war.
The only news so far is that it will be largely based around the Nintendo vs Sega console battle, one of the largest commercial rivalries of the 90s.
This is the story of how Sega, a tiny company took on the mega popular and well established Nintendo and helped to revolutionise the world of gaming.
The film is based around a book, yet to be released, ‘Console Wars’ written by Blake Harris who talks in detail about this rivalry.
Harris used hundreds of interviews in order to craft the story charting the meteoric rise of Sega, which is now worth a staggering $50 billion.
The book and film are set to be great hits with fans of 90s gaming and will definitely evoke warm feelings of nostalgia.
Leaving watchers wanting to bring down their old consoles from the attic, dust them off and relive the games of their childhoods.
