Bill Murray has joined the cast of The Jungle Book as the voice of Baloo the bear.
The Ghostbusters star will feature alongside Christopher Walken, Scarlett Johansson and Idris Elba in Jon Favreau’s adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s novel.
Walken will voice King Louie, Johansson Kaa the python and Elba the film’s antagonist Shere Khan.
The film, which will follow the same story as the 1967 Disney classic, will combine live-action footage with animation.
Disney recently released a live-action take on Sleeping Beauty in the form of Maleficent, while Kenneth Branagh is giving the same treatment to Cinderella.
The Jungle Book will be released on 9th October next year.
