Rumours abound that Batman is set to get a new standalone film with Gotham’s hero venturing into his own adventures after Warner bros have completed their latest Superman projects.
Ben Affleck who has caused many mixed reviews for his upcoming role, as the caped crusader will be staring in both updates of the classic D.C comics.
With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and The Justice League are both in the works, Warner Bros are handing out as many superhero films as they can.
From many reports it is said that the Batman film will have a minimalist title of just: The Batman. The Argo actor has been signed to multiple picture deals for the comic book hero. So fans expect many more upcoming D.C films.
After Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder tweeted the picture of Ben in his Batman amour, the fans were raving about the new reboot. There were a lot of disappointed fans after the revealing of the new hero, due to past roles from Christian Bale and Michael Keaton who raised the Bruce Wayne bar.
With Christian Bale’s thrilling performance throughout Christopher Nolan’s exciting trilogy, it was understandable why fans were not ready for any kind of reboot. Especially when remembering Affleck’s performance in Daredevil.
Meanwhile, The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in 2016 with Affleck working with Henry Cavill’s Superman. The story will be the foundation for a future Justice League film, expected in 2017.
As you can see there will be rivalry between Warner Bros and Marvel against The Avengers franchise. With sequels from the likes of: Thor, Iron Man and Captain America it is no wonder why Warner Bros are planning a lot of comic book reboots.
For fans of D.C comic books the next five years will be filled with non stop superhero action.
