Stand Up comedy legends Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock are set to take the stage at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena this week as they open their shared UK shows this autumn.
The pair will hit be delighting Liverpool audiences for the first time this Thursday, before heading to London for two nights at the O2 Arena.
Tickets are on sale now and available via Live Nation.
CB4 star Rock continues to reluctantly be in the headlines over the infamous slap Will Smith gave him at the Oscars.
The Fresh Prince star recently issued a six-minute video apology for the Oscars slap saying:
“I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologise to you.”
Rock has said on stage at a recent gig in Atlanta that he didn’t want to make more of the incident:
“If everybody claims to be a victim, then nobody will hear the real victims.
“Even me, I got smacked by Suge (referring to Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, who is currently serving 28 years for voluntary manslaughter).
“I went to work the next day, I got kids.”
Fans in Liverpool are wondering whether they will be amongst the first people to hear Chris open up more about the moment, which got the world talking earlier this year.
Razor witted Dave Chappelle is sure to have something to say about it as he never shies away from taboo subjects with his unique comedic philosophy.
The Sticks And Stones comedian has recently found himself the centre of controversy surrounding remarks he made about the Transgender community.
Stand up fans – make sure you get a ticket to this show, which looks set to prove to be a historic night for comedy in Liverpool.
