Here’s the gaming news from this past week.
Monday 18th May 2015
Bethesda released a teaser trailer for the new Doom, also revealing that a further showing of the game will take place at this year’s E3 conference. Though short the video does show some in-game footage which proved to be quite exciting. For those who wish to see Bethesda’s E3 conference, it is all going down on Monday 15 June at 3am (UK time).
Square Enix took to Twitter to announce the demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy XV will be updated in first week of June. This second version brings Episode Duscae, originally launched in March to coincide with Final Fantasy Type-0, improves upon Active Cross Battle, adjusts the camera targeting system, fixes small bugs and adds balance adjustments. However the actual game itself is still without a release date.

Capcom demonstrated an all new gameplay trailer for Street Fighter V focusing on M. Bison, making him the fourth character reveal along with Ryu, Chun Li and Charlie. Street Fighter V will be a PS4 and PC exclusive due out next year. No doubt there will be numerous incarnations of the same game ala each Street Fighter series. In similar news Ultra Street Fighter 4 will hit shelves next week on PS4.
In keeping with the gameplay trailer based news, gamers can view a new 10 minute showing of Kartos’ battling Hades in God of War 3 Remastered. The game will be in 1080p/60fps and due out exclusively on PS4 Friday 17 July. If players pre-order the game they will receive a Fall of Olympus Dynamic Theme.

As noted on The Week in Gaming last week, Lego Dimensions announced three new franchises joining the game. One in particular was Back to The Future and today a trailer dropped starring Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as the legendary Doc Brown.
Additional Fun Packs announced today are; two from Ninjago and three from DC Comics, featuring Superman, Aquaman and Bane. Reports confirm there will also be a DC Comics Team Pack containing Joker and Harley Quinn.
E3 is fast approaching and Oculus, the Facebook-owned VR company, has sent out invites to the tech press dated Thursday 11 June. An image of what is presumed to be the final model of the headset accompanied the invites. The device is expected to be on sale sometime next year and a promotional tech press before E3 is a great time to not unveil Oculus but also garner some press attention before Sony’s Morpheus.

Game of Thrones fans are always being told winter is coming, now Telltale’s Game of Thrones fans
know episode four, entitled Sons of Winter, of the episodic download game will arrive on various
consoles and formats throughout next week.
EA have decided the next installment of the Need for Speed franchise will in fact be a reboot. Developed by Ghost Games the focus of the game will be; authentic urban car culture, car
customisation and most importantly a plot.
Nintendo announced a new addition to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, the spin off series of the main
Pokémon games. Presently details are unknown other than the title, Pokémon Super Mystery, it will
be released on 3DS at various periods in 2016. However North America will be able to purchase the
game this winter.

Not much news stories of worth emerged today other than a very Happy 20th Birthday to Bioware.
For two decades the developer has made some great game series such as; Baldur’s Gate, Mass
Effect, Dragon Age and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
