Nintendo have, somewhat, secretly made more DLC available for Super Smash Bros. for WiiU and 3DS. Content for WiiU version includes; Super Mario Maker stage, Zelda Pirate Ship stage and a large selection of Mii Fighter outfits. The 3DS port also includes a variety of Mii Fighter outfits but only the one stage inspired by Duck Hunt.

Capcom have confirmed Zangief is the next playable fighter in the upcoming Street Fighter 5. As with all previously confirmed characters the news comes with a gameplay video showcasing V-Skill and V-Trigger moves. Zangief’s V-Skill, called Iron Muscle, allows the Russian wrestler to absorb one attack. His V-Trigger resembles a spin attack designed to pull opponents in closer for maximum damage.

Leaked reports also suggest a new character, Laura, will debut meaning only two fighters remain to be revealed.

Square Enix have cancelled the controversial ‘augmented pre-orders’ programme for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, citing substantial negative feedback as the reason in an official statement found on the game’s website. Fans could basically create their own package, beginning with the Day One Edition, selecting from five different tiers that unlocked progressively.

The process became a lot more complex from that point as available DLC would be based on collective pre order numbers.

Friday 2nd October

Warner Bros. are aiming to re-release the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight at the end of this month. The publisher also stated, via a post on the game’s official steam page, plans for further updates are still planned for launch once the port goes back on sale.

It will be available for all players for free. This new pack is the result of Battlefield 4 Community Map Project, a scheme where the developer built a new map for the two-year-old shooter alongside the community.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater released on this day to unanimous negative reviews. The game does not just suffer from a mass amount of graphical glitches but also technical and in-game issues. Resultantly Activision has admitted to being aware of these faults and promised to address them.

The company have said new stages and five bonus skaters will be added to the game in future updates; at no extra cost.
