The war between console exclusives and timed-exclusives continues with Andrew House’s, Sony exec, proclamation that PS4 will be the, “new home of Call of Duty” due to Playstation owners receiving first access to DLC. Xbox owners need not worry as the deal only lasts for 30 days.
One of the biggest E3 2015 announcements was the long awaited confirmation of Shenmue III. Yu Suzuki took to the stage during Sony’s conference to divulge information regarding the Kickstarter campaign to make the third installment of the series. Though surpassing the $2 million goal, and rising, Suzuki believes to make a truly open world experience the campaign must reach $10 million.

The lead voice actors for the male and female Fallout 4 protagonists have been revealed. Brian T. Delaney, a relatively unknown name but does have a lot of experience and will voice Roland in Halo 5: Guardians, will voice the male lead. Courtenay Taylor, previously the voice of Mass Effect’s Jack and multiple Fallout: New Vegas characters, will provide her vocal talents for the female lead.
Bethesda also confirmed Fallout 4 will run 1080p 30fps on home consoles but will be unrestricted on
PC.
Microsoft confirmed Xbox One’s backward compatibility technology will not only fully support certain 360 games but also the accompanied DLC packs. However publishing companies still have to give their consent before availability can be made. More than 100 games will be available at full launch. Currently, preview members have access to 21 titles, including Super Meat Boy and Viva Piñata with new titles will be added weekly.

Kenji Inafune and the developers of Metroid Prime are collaborating on a new game, ReCore. Currently details are limited however the plot focuses on a young girl named Jewel and Mack, a robot companion who is part of a faction attempting to assist Jewel in bringing humanity back to the planet. Naturally a secondary faction of robots is aiming to stop the duo. In regard to his vision for the game Inafune stated, “I wanted to make a game that explores which direction future humanity is heading and how humanity will end.”
Microsoft will launch a new, limited edition 1TB Xbox One inspired by Forza 6. The design will be blue, contain racing stripes and make car noises when buttons are pushed. For example a ‘vroom’ sounded will emit once user press the power button. Available for purchase 15 September 2015 the console will include a digital copy of Forza 6.

DICE has explained the decision as to why AT-ATs in Star Wars: Battlefront are on-rails. During an interview with Eurogamer, senior producer Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir clarifies the developers had been forced to make the AT-ATs move on a pre-set path in order to avoid “game breaking” consequences.
Players can control the iconic vehicles but movement and abilities will be limited to move the head-mounted turret canons. Ingvarsdottir also confirmed Ewoks will make an appearance in the game.

Despite universal acclaim for Batman: Arkham Knight many PC fans are outraged regarding the game’s performance on PC. Rocksteady co-found Sefton Hill tweeted that the company is working with the best engineers to fix the many issues as well as, “totally supported the decision to suspend the PC version.” This is in reference to the game being removed from shop shelves and Steam.
Final Fantasy VII remake was one of the major announcement at E3 but Tetsuya Nomura did not realise he was directing the game until he saw his name appear in the credits. It is scheduled for release on PS4 first but there are no details on a release date.
