British toy giant Lego have revealed details of a special Lego Ghostbusters set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd movie.
Lego CUUSOO will create the fan-created project, pitched by Brent Waller, which has been given the green light for release later this year.
The set boasts an exciting model of the Ecto-1 and four mini-figures of the Ghost-busting .
Plans for the new design were announced in Lego CUUSOO’s Fall 2013 Review Results video (which you can watch here).
Although eagle eyed toy fans will spot that the set doesn’t include the iconic Ghostbusters fire station HQ. Hopefully Lego will introduce this if sales justify the move.
Fans of the classic Kenner The Real Ghostbusters toys will surely want the fire station (see third picture).
This June marks the 30th anniversary of the 1984 Ghostbusters movie, starring Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson alongside Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver.
Dan Aykroyd has been teasing fans with details of a third movie and said last year that the upcoming Ghostbusters 3 film will likely utilise 3D.
Emma Stone and Jonah Hill have been linked to the sequel, which is currently in development.
