The Walking Dead has gone from comic series to suprise hit TV show and now the show’s creator wants Stephen King to pen a future episode of the zombie drama.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Kirkman talked about the possibility of the horror author contributing a script.

He said: “That’s been discussed a little bit. Everyone involved on both sides of that are very anxious to make that happen; AMC is excited; [Creator/executive producer/director] Frank Darabont is excited; I’m excited. I know Stephen King and [his son and fellow writer] Joe Hill are excited. We’ll see if we can make that come together. I can neither confirm nor deny.”

AMC’s Walking the Dead has been picked up for a second series which will air later this year.
