Kosovan beauty Rita Ora is making massive power plays this year, proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the pop world.
The R.I.P. singer was signed to Jay Z’s record label Roc Nation in 2009 and topped the UK charts with three number ones Hot Right Now, How We Do (Party) and R.I.P.
On being an X Factor guest judge, Rita said: “It was tough, but you can’t let people feel what they’re doing is right if it’s not. If I’m in that position I’ll use it try and help them – without knocking their confidence, if possible.”
The Radioactive singer has her heart set on breaking America.
The ambitious 22-year-old beauty said: “Conquering America is a big, big plan for me. I’m happy to be working double time and plan on conquering America. That’s been one of my dreams, to do Letterman, go do shows in America and sell-out shows. It’s so fun.”
Jay-Z gave Rita her big break and told her she could be as big as Rihanna.
The Radioactive singer has followed in the Barbadian singer’s footsteps by working with Coldplay and supporting them on tour.
Rita said: “Jay-Z is the best man to have around. He saw me when I was gigging in London and then flew me out to New York and heard my music and that was it! I got a record deal.”
The Hot Right Now singer offered to travel to New York to meet Jay-Z, she said: “If you give me enough time I’ll build up my money and come to New York. Then he flew me out and heard my music and that was it! I got a record label.”
