Purple Revolver are sticking a huge Kapow on the villainous chin of the January blues with a brand spanking new comic culture TV show called Heroes For Sale.

Heroes For Sale explores all things superhero and comic related along with hip hop and pop culture inspired comedy skits.

Presented by Katie Kneen the first webisode features interviews with Red Dwarf star Robert Llewellyn and Axe Cop creator Ethan Nicole from this year’s Thought Bubble.

Worlds Apart’s resident action figure expert Day Johnson reviews the new wave of Star Wars Black Series figures including Han Solo, Greedo, Princess Leia (slave Leia hummina hummina) and everybody’s fave bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Handy with some paint, Kane Grosvenor teaches us how to customise a Marvel Legends Deadpool red figure, transforming him into a baddass cow boy dubbed Clint Eastpool in the Pimp My Figure feature.

We travel to Manchester to check out their comic and action figure scene and narrowly escape Big Trouble in Little China.

Toy Pimps Pierce King and Rex Mason close it out by rounding off the first year of Heroes For Sale Liverpool and the shop on Hanover St as well as Rex’s top figures of 2013.

The Heroes For Sale show is a pilot for Bay TV Liverpool, the local TV station set to hit channel 8 of Freeview later this year. Stay tuned for the next episode and please give us any feedback in the comments section below.

(Viewer beware – thanks to the ’80s mic used for the interviews, those watching on mobile devices might suffer audio problems (Whaddyawant for nothin’ – bananas!?)
