Graphic designer Leah Bowman gained a new job and viral status after she used Lego in order to create a new resume.

Leah combined her creative imagination and her love of Lego in order to show off her skills to a potential employer after she was asked to come up with ‘a persuasive advertisement.’

The student combined her creative imagination and life long love for Lego in order to show off her skills and reinvent her run of the mill resume.

Using the Lego Digital Designer, Leah created a figure of herself, complete with assembly instructions.

The assembly instructions include quick and snappy descriptions of Leah’s skills, highlighting why she would be a great addition to any team.

Leah explained that she was just trying to stand out from the sea of students all battling to gain entry into the world of work.

“I’ve applied for dozens of jobs and had a handful of interviews, but sometimes there’s just another candidate that edged you out. I know I’d be a great addition to any team, but I needed a better way to communicate that rather than just sending in a boring resume.”

At the bottom of the resume she included with the figure, she simply states her name and cleverly claims she is the ‘missing piece’ for the agency.

This is a great example of how creative you can be with your resume in order to stand out from the endless applicants and how you can show your skills and creativity excellently before even attending an interview.

It is hard for anybody to get a job in today’s economic climate and this story proves that with a little bit of creativity and the courage to try something new, you can help yourself stand out from the crowd and make your name stick.
