Delifonseca is set to play host a selection of deli-cious Valentine’s Day celebrations.

On Tuesday, February 14, both Delifonseca Dockside and Fonseca’s Stanley Street will serve up intimate Valentine’s menus for couples to enjoy.

For those who prefer to share the love at home, Delifonseca Dockside will be offering ‘Valentine’s at Home’ whereby guests can take away a chef prepared three-course Valentine’s feast.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “With the most romantic night of the year fast approaching, we wanted to create a trio of dining options that will allow those in love to truly spoil one another. Couples who choose to celebrate the occasion with an evening out can choose from either Delifonseca Dockside and Fonseca’s Stanley Street each with their own special set menu, while homebodies can enjoy a cosy night in together with our delectable ‘at home’ option.”

On the romantic evening, diners at Delifonseca Dockside can enjoy a starter platter to share, featuring options such as Truffled Salami, Crab with Tomato Jelly and Tempura Vegetables. Mains include Roast Gressingham Duck with Baked Chicory, Serrano Ham, Fondant Potato, Cavolo Nero Cabbage and Morello Cherry Sauce, Pan Roasted Cod with Squid Ink Rice, Piquillos, Broccoli & Leek and Baked Blue Cheese & Spinach Lasagne with Jerusalem Artichoke, Roasted Beetroot & Baby Shoots, followed by a surprise ‘Lovers Dessert Platter’ to share.

Those opting to dine at Fonseca’s Stanley Street can choose from two dinner sittings. Diners attending the three-course sitting at 6.00pm will enjoy starter options of Cheshire Smokehouse Duck Breast “Carpaccio” with Toasted Hazelnuts & Caramelised Orange or Creamy Burrata with Olive & Sun Blushed Tomato Bruschetta. Main course options include Slow Cooked Moroccan Lamb Tagine with caramelised Peaches, Pomegranate & Almond Cous Cous, Whole Roasted Moroccan Seabass with a warm Saffron Potato Salad & Spicy Chraimeh Sauce and Sweet Potato & Wild Mushroom Wellington with Flash Fried Greens & a rich Port sauce.

For dessert, guests can enjoy ‘Last Rolo’. Those selecting the later sitting at 8.30pm will also enjoy an arrival glass of Perrier Jouet Brut Champagne, a fish course of Bloody Mary Oyster Shot and a Palate Cleanser of Kir Royale Sorbet.

Candice added: “For home-birds who prefer to celebrate the romantic merriments from the comfort of their own kitchens, our ‘Valentine’s at Home’ will allow guests to impress their partner by serving up a three-course dinner made with love. Complete with step by step instructions and photographs, our offering will ensure that there will be minimal work in the kitchen – just heating and plating! We’ve provided this option for years and it works really well, as there’s no need to arrange childminding or to worry about taxis, particularly when it falls on a school night!”

‘Valentine’s at Home’ will comprise a shared starter platter and a shared dessert platter. For mains, couples can choose from Beef Brisket Bourguignon with Pearl Onions, Mushrooms & Lardons, Fillet of Salmon with Leek, Lemon & Basil Stuffing, ‘Smokie’ Tomato Cream Sauce & Buttered Spinach and Chargrilled Courgette & Aubergine with stuffed Halloumi & Mozarella served with Red & Yellow Pepper Piperade.
