Gaming Journalist Geoff Keighley has created an app that allows you to follow the story from creation of Titanfall to the launch through videos and behind the scenes images.
Geoff Keighley, the creator of the app ‘The Final Hours of Portal 2’ has created a similar app for the greatly successful game Titanfall named ‘The Final Hours of Titanfall.’
The app is a long form app with a total of 25,000 words.
It does not read as an essay, but gives fans of the game a chance to learn secrets and facts about their favourite game in a fun and interactive way.
The game was created by Jason West and Vince Zampella when they created Respawn Entertainment after a billion dollar lawsuit with Activision surrounding the sales of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Issues discussed within the app include problems that almost caused the game to be dropped as well as explaining why the game never made it to Playstation consoles.
As well as pictures and videos discussing these issues that have never been fully explained to fans, there are also some mini games to look forward to as you follow the story.
The app took four years to complete with over 80 interviews in order to gain all the information needed, covering topics surrounding the “toxic mix of office politics and creative struggles the build the next great videogame franchise.”
At the moment, the app is available for £1.49 on iTunes and is currently available for iPad, Windows Surface, as well as PC and Mac through the website Origin.
For those who would like to have the app on devices such as iPhones or Android devices, there will be a wait as these versions are still being considered.
A text only version for Kindles and audiobook is also in talks.
