Hollywood continues the trend for remakes by taking on the 80’s cult horror Fright Night.

Australian director Craig Gillespie will be taking the helm for this rehash of the 80’s classic and stars already signed up include Toni Collette, Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin.

The studio have just announced that former Dr Who star, David Tennant and Kick Ass anti-hero Red Mist AKA, Christopher Mintz-Plasse will be joining the mixed bag of actors.

Tennant will be playing a Las Vegas magician/fraudster who claims to be a vampire expert when Yelchin seeks his assistance convinced that his mother (Collette) has fallen for a vampire (Farrell).

Mintz-Plasse will be playing Yelchin’s jilted friend who turns to the dark side and takes on an alter ego, Evil Ed.

A good movie role for Tennant proving there is life after the Doctor but not exactly a stretch for Mintz-Plasse playing the jilted geek boy.
