Halloween celebrations got off to a spooky start last night in the city, with Craft Creative hosting a ‘carve your own pumpkin’ workshop in Leaf, Bold street.
The sell out event offered the opportunity to take the routine Halloween task of carving a pumpkin to new heights and a range of both haunting and intricate designs were produced by all.
The Craft Creative team were accompanied by artist Karen Edwards who imparted her extensive knowledge about carving techniques and the history surrounding the tradition of jack o’ lantern carvings.
With designs ranging from bats adorned with glitter, haunting trees, and carefully carved floral designs, the event proved a huge success.
Armed with a recipe for toasting pumpkin seeds, guests were invited to make full use of all parts of the pumpkins, ensuring the celebrations would continue into the weeks leading up to the spooky holiday.
