Comic Con Liverpool kicks off its third and biggest event yet today.

We’re here at the Exhibition Centre to find out what’s in store for attendees.

From A-list movie stars to comedy legends, the con has something for every film fan going. The guests include…

Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings Trilogy) is an American actor, voice actor, film producer, and DJ best known for his portrayal of Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy and in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. (Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, The Faculty, Sin City, Maniac, Happy Feet, Green Street)

Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2, The Expendables) Philip Andre “Mickey” Rourke Jr. is an American actor, screenwriter, and former boxer, who has appeared primarily as a leading man in drama, action, and thriller films. During the 1980s, Rourke starred in a number of notable roles including (Iron Man 2, The Expendables, Sin City, Immortals, Angel Heart, The Wrestler, Rumblefish)

David Harbour – (Stranger Things) is an American actor best known for his role as Jim Hopper in the Netflix series Stranger Things, which earned him a Critics’ Choice Television Award in 2018. (Stranger Things, Hellboy, Black Widow, Suicide Squad, The Green Hornet, Brokeback Mountain, Quantum of Solace)

Ryan Hurst – (Sons of Anarchy) is an American actor best known for his roles as Gerry Bertier in Disney’s Remember the Titans, Sgt. Ernie Savage in We Were Soldiers, Tom Clarke in Taken, Opie Winston in the FX drama series Sons of Anarchy, Chick in Bates Motel, Li’l “Foster” Farrell in Outsiders, Beta in The Walking Dead, and Hector Bonner in Bosch.

Steve Guttenberg – (Police Academy) is an American actor, author, businessman, producer, and director. He is known for his lead roles in Hollywood films of the 1980s and 1990s, including Cocoon, Police Academy, Three Men and a Baby, Diner, The Bedroom Window, Three Men and a Little Lady, The Big Green and Short Circuit.

Bob Gale – (Back to the Future Trilogy) is an American screenwriter, producer and film director. He co-wrote Back to the Future with writing partner Robert Zemeckis, and the screenplays for the film’s two sequels. Gale also co-produced all three films and served as associate producer on the subsequent animated TV series. Michael J. Fox noted that Back to the Future co-creator Bob Gale is “the gatekeeper” for the franchise.

And that’s to just name a few!

Panels are running on Saturday and Sunday to give fans a chance to ask their favourite celeb questions, as well as photo and autograph opportunities with them.

With movie and TV show props and sets to take photos with, and an arcade; this Comic Con is one of the biggest in the North, selling out of their weekend and Saturday tickets!
