Forget Mecca and Gala, Bongo’s Bingo is by far the best one in Liverpool!

The popular event, which is normally held at Camp and Furness, celebrated its 2nd birthday at the weekend and it had one hell of a guest list.

Joining the many bingo-goers were the best band of the 2000’s, S Club and two ex-boy-banders, Brian McFadden from Westlife and Keith Duffy from Boyzone.

The birthday bonanza was held at the Olympia Theatre, in West Derby and was pimped out to party the night away.

With giant bingo balls hanging from the ceiling, six bars full of booze and plenty of room to bust some shapes, it is definitely a night out that you’d actually want to remember!

The night started with three rounds of bingo, with prizes ranging from a space hopper to a new Playstation 4 and the first act to grace the stage were S Club.

Despite the original line up of seven members being cut down to three, Bradley, Tina and Jo still gave the audience a wonderful trip down memory lane, by singing some of the bands biggest hits such as; S Club party, Don’t stop movin’ and Reach.

The crowd were all then hyped up for the final three rounds of bingo, with a jackpot of £3000 at stake and a trip for four to Europe’s party capital, Ibiza. Brian Mcfadden and Keith Duffy, also known as Boyzlife, ended the night by singing some of the two boybands greatest hits and had the sold out theatre up on their feet and on the benches.

Hundreds of glow sticks were then thrown into the audience for one last rave, with the DJ, Mr Johnny Bongo himself, treating the crowd to some club tunes from the Noughties.

The packed out theatre definitely gave Bongo a happy 2nd birthday and set the bar high for next year’s celebrations!
