Purple Revolver is proud to announce its very own coffee blend will launch with Liverpool’s best baristas Bold Street Coffee at a special bash at the Bold Street creative hub this Friday morning.

Be among the first in the city to try our Smoking Gun Blend coffee at its debut with a Gospel brunch party with a soundtrack provided by Nina Simone, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke and Ray Charles.

Liverpool’s best independent cafe Bold Street Coffee owner Sam Tawil selected the two exotic beans: the Costa Rica Don Mayo Finca Bella Vista and the Indian Peaberry Bold to create a unique blend with a warm citrus burst and an enjoyable smokey undercurrent.

A special Soul Food menu will be available at £3.95 for a cup of the Smoking Gun Blend and a butty to tantalise your tastebuds and if you dig the flavours, you can buy a bag to take home.

We are also welcoming any aspiring creatives to come meet the Purple Revolver team and chat to us about how you can contribute to the site or we can help promote your project or business.

Purple Revolver director Pierce King said: “We are delighted to launch the Smoking Gun blend with Bold Street Coffee and would like to thank Sam for being open to the idea and for his expertise in choosing the perfect beans.

“Everyone in our office is dependant on Bold Street Coffee for their caffeine fix as I’m sure every creative and coffee connaisseur in the city is – so this is a special opportunity for us.

“Please come down to try a cup and tell us what you think. We’re also keen to meet any aspiring creatives in the city who would like to work with Purple Revolver.

“The Smoking Gun blend will also be available to buy in packets from the shop and through our website after the event.”

The Gospel brunch will begin after the morning rush at 10am and run through to lunchtime – send us any song requests via e-mail shots@purplerevolver.com or http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=242753589107060

Bold Street Coffee are also hosting nights at The Shipping Forecast with Sam on the decks, playing an eclectic mix from his vinyl collection. Here’s a couple of pics from the first night – stay tuned for the next one.
